The Great Controversy, Alexis Arnold
Every address in San Francisco (in addition to residents in other liberally-inclined cities) receive a copy of the Great Controversy. Quoting from wikipedia (because I didn't read it), the author, Ellen G. White, "a prophetess of God among Seventh-day Adventist members… describes the 'Great Controversy theme' between Jesus and satan, as played out over the millennia from its start in heaven, to its final end when the world is destroyed and recreated." Crystallizing this book seemed like an obvious choice and meant one less unwanted book going to waste.
